Georgia Higher Education Annual Kit (GHEAK) - ERDAS Site License

ERDAS provides software for developing and managing interoperable geospatial solutions for an enterprise. A large number of University System of Georgia (USG) institutions use ERDAS image processing, photogrammetry, and remote sensing software products in academic and research efforts. CGIS has contracted with ERDAS to bring its software to partnering USG institutions. CGIS administers the site license and acts as the liaison to distribute and troubleshoot software deployment by acting as the point of contact.

Currently 11 USG institutions participate in the ERDAS GHEAK site license program. If your USG institution is interested in the license program please contact the site license administrator at 404-385-0900. The cost of the site license program is divided among participating institutions based on student enrolment numbers. Participating institutions for FY 2008-2009 are:

Albany State University, Gainesville College, Georgia College & State University, Georgia Southern University, Georgia State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Kennesaw State University, North Georgia College & State University, Skidaway Institute of Oceanography, University of Georgia, and State University of West Georgia.

The following GHEAK ERDAS software can be requested by participating USG institutions:

Participating institutions can take advantage of week long software training classes on ERDAS products with 50% site license discount. In addition, participating institutions can take advantage of 50% reduction in other training classes offered by ERDAS. Student licenses are available for a reduced price of $150.00.

CGIS will handle all software media distribution and installation support. If issue can not be resolved CGIS can help log a technical support incident with ERDAS for troubleshooting issues. Contact the primary site license administrator at 404-385-0900 for software install media and license codes.
